and then FORCED in my handy dandy fret forcing jig.
just a plank of iroko with a v shaped slot in it. clamping the newly fretted neck in it makes sure all the fret ends are nicely pressed home.

wHEN MY BROTHER WAS 14 , ABOUT 40 YEARS AGO, HE WANTED A FENDERS STRAT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD , NO CHANCE WHEN MONEYS TIGHT, ( MY MOTHER WAS WIDOWED WHEN i WAS 11) SO HE STOLE A BREADBOARD AND WITH THE MOST BASIC TOOLS, HE CREATED A GUITAR THAT ACTUALLY WORKED /PLAYED, HE TOOK THE BRIDGE OF THE VIOLIN TO USE ON GUITAR, .
