So, intonation set, the high fret up around the 15th or so sorted and a label put in there too!!

I'll leave it over the weekend to get used to the tension and give it a thorough testing before detuning it and getting it all parceled up to post to Canada.

Really pleased with how this turned out!!

to finish, the frets need a little workand the saddle needs some intonation fine tuning.

we're nearly done!!

So, Steven's guitar was entrusted to the lovely people at parcel farce this afternoon. Hopefully he'll have it by Monday night, Tuesday at the latest.......

well, the bridge went on using my patent bridge locating jig.

then once it was glued on, the bridge pin holes were reamed out and the bone bridge pins fitted.

then it seemed only sensible to stick some strings on there too......

So, a lot of tidying up to do, but it SHOULD be in the post to Canada before the end of June.......

1. Tuners onto Tim's guitar, and the bridge and truss rod cover are cut out with their 1st coat of lacquer

Strings on Steven's guitar!! the nut is filed down to the right height, but I'm going to leave it a day or two to settle before I set the intonation. Note the "stealth" truss rod cover cut from an offcut of the neck.......

Stephen's bridge is on!! Clamped in place with a cork bottomed caul that I made today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the bridge pin holes reamed out the right size and make a start on the intonation. Nearly there!!


Tim's has had it's first couple of coats of lacquer. It's amazing how the wood really comes to LIFE with the lacquer on there!! Now things slow down as the lacquer needs to dry out before I can sand it back ready for the next coat. Still on target for completion before the end of the month!!
