then fitted to the body 
now, the maple is pretty. it has figure in there, but now it's time to "pop the maple" and raise the grain first mix up some lacquer with yellow dye 
and apply to the maple 
sand it off 
re-apply 
and sand again 
then we're ready for regular clear coats
