and I've just remembered that the original spec was a rosewood rosette to match the binding and fretboard, not cherry to match the back & sides...... I'll talk to the commissioner and ask him what he thinks. if he wants the rosewood, I'll save this top for another build and make another one with a rosewood rosette!

Jumbo now has 12... or is it 15 ? coats of tru oil and is looking very nice!!

and while bearclaw is a matter of taste, you can't help but acknowledge it!!

cherry rosette cut and matching slots cut on the top. I'll use a dremel to remove the wood between the slots to drop in the rosette.

I've finished the intonation on the saddle, and all that's left to do is fit the strap button on the neck, but I need word from Gary as to where exactly he wants it.
